Meanwhile, the revenue generated by Turkey's wire rod exports in July totaled $67.72 million, increasing by 80.2 percent year on year and down 21.2 percent compared to the previous month.
In August, the average export price of Turkish wire rod amounted to $736/mt, up $12/mt or 1.66 percent from July levels and indicating an increase of $175/mt or 31.2 percent compared to August 2010.
Meanwhile, in the first eight months of 2011, Turkey's wire rod exports decreased by 2.7 percent, amounting to 811,727 metric tons, while the revenue of these exports totaled $576 million, up 20 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
