Turkish metal producers' sales prices decrease in December from November

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in December 2014 the domestic producer price index (PPI) for Turkish industry in general decreased by 0.76 percent from November and was up 6.36 percent year on year, while an average rise of 10.25 percent was registered for the latest 12 months.
 
In December 2014, the domestic PPI for Turkey's basic metal industry decreased by 0.82 percent on month-on-month basis and was up 2.32 percent compared to December 2013. Meanwhile, the average increase in the domestic PPI for the latest 12 months was 9.4 percent.

On the other hand, in December last year the domestic PPI for domestic manufacture of metal products, except machinery, increased by 0.43 percent as compared to November and was up 5.88 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the sector in question, an average increase of 11.41 percent in the PPI index was registered for the latest 12 months.
