Turkish metal producers' foreign sales prices up 0.4% in January

According to the figures released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkish producers' foreign sales price index (PPI)* in general have increased by 0.39 percent compared to December and was up 12.09 percent year on year, while an average rise of 22.75 percent was registered for the latest 12 months.

In January this year, the foreign sales prices of producers in the Turkish domestic basic metal industry rose 0.21 percent on month-on-month basis and were up 18.35 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Meanwhile, the average increase in prices in the latest 12 months was 34.39 percent.

On the other hand, in January this year Turkish producers' foreign sales prices for domestic manufactured metal products, except machinery, fell by 0.33 percent compared to December and were up 13.99 percent year on year. Meanwhile, the average increase in prices in the latest 12 months was 20.05 percent.

*Foreign sales price index indicates changes in Turkish producers' prices for other countries.
