Turkish metal manufacturing capacity usage down in Feb from Jan

According to the provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, in February this year the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish basic metal manufacturing industry was 76.7 percent, increasing by 1.6 percentage points compared to February 2011 and down 2.1 percentage points compared to the previous month.
 
Meanwhile, in February of the current year the capacity utilization rate in the manufacture of metal products, except machinery and equipment, rose by 3.2 percentage points year on year reaching 72 percent, up from 70.8 percent recorded in January.
 
The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was at 72.9 percent in February this year, decreasing from 74.7 percent in January and slightly down from 73 percent in February 2011.
