Turkey’s basic metal production index up 6.3% in Feb

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in February this year Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 4.4 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by 0.7 percent compared to the previous month. On the other hand, in Turkey the production index of the manufacturing industry in February increased 3.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In February, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 6.3 percent year on year and was down 5.5 percent from January, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 10.1 percent year on year and was down by three percent compared to the previous month.
