Turkey’s metal output index falls in April from March

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in April this year Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 1.8 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by one percent compared to the previous month. On the other hand, in Turkey the production index of the manufacturing industry in April increased 1.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In April, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 5.8 percent year on year and was down 5.1 percent from March, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 10.4 percent year on year and was down by 1.7 percent compared to the previous month.
