Turkish home appliance market grows by one percent in H1

The home appliance market in Turkey saw one percent year-on-year growth in the first half of this year, according to the data released by the Turkish Home Appliance Industrialists Association (BESD).

According to the BESD's report, in the January-May period of 2012 overall home appliance sales in western Europe contracted by about three percent, while in Russia home appliance sales increased by approximately six percent and in Poland sales increased by one percent, all compared to the corresponding period of 2011. In the period in question, home appliance sales decreased in Ukraine and in Romania.
