Turkish Competition Authority decides not to impose administrative fine on Kardemir

Turkish integrated long steel producer Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. (Kardemir) has announced that in the investigation launched on September 5, 2016, against Turkish companies Kardemir, Cag Celik Demir Celik Endustri A.S., Celsantas Celik Mamulleri San. ve Tic. A.S., Yolbulan Demir San. ve Tic. A.S. and Yolbulanlar Nakl. ve Tic. A.S, following a complaint by Turkish steel producer Kaptan Demir Celik End. ve Tic. A.S, the Competition Authority in Turkey has decided that Kardemir and other companies subject to the investigation did not violate the Competition Act and that the imposition of administrative fine accordingly is not necessary.

In its complaint Kaptan Demir Celik alleged that the mentioned companies eliminated potential competition by mutual agreements.
