In March this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports decreased by 1.36 percent month on month to 64,570 mt, up 17 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $33.85 million, increasing by 1.58 percent compared to February and up 4.02 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the January-March period of this year, Turkey's CRC imports amounted to 233,584 metric tons, up 65.6 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these imports totalled $118.58 million, increasing by 31.7 percent compared to the same period of 2019.
In the first three months of this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 125,766 mt, up 43.9 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Belgium totalled 32,635 mt.
