Turkish plantmaker CVS Technologies has announced that Turkish steelmaker Tosyalı's wire rod mill in Algeria produced the first batch of products on Tuesday, June 16.
The construction of the wire rod mill - the first wire rod mill in Algeria - started in January 2014. This is also the first rod mill designed and supplied by CVS Technologies.
The new mill is able to produce wire rod ranging between 5.5 mm and 25 mm and deformed bars in coils between 8 mm and 16mm, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 mt.
