In the first 11 months of 2017, Turkey's steel exports increased by 9.2 percent year on year to 16.6 million mt, while the value of these exports moved up by 24 percent year on year to $12.1 billion, according to the data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).
In the given period, Turkey's long steel exports fell by seven percent to 8.5 million mt, while flat steel exports increased by 43.3 percent to 3.8 million mt, both on year-on-year basis.
In the first 11 months, the country’s semi-finished steel exports grew by 281 percent to 772,700 mt, year on year. In the same period, pipes and tube exports of the country increased by 8.1 percent to 1.7 million mt, year on year.
In November last year, Turkey's steel exports decreased by 1.4 percent to 1.40 million mt, with a value of $1.14 billion, up 22.3 percent, both year on year.
In the given month, Turkey's flat steel exports fell by 4.6 percent year on year to 296,000 mt, while the long steel product exports of the country decreased by 11.2 percent year on year to 712,000 mt.
In the given month, the country’s semi-finished steel exports increased by 335 percent to 61,000 mt, year on year.
