Turkey’s steel export volume down 6.1 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's steel exports increased by three percent year on year to 1.27 million mt, according to the data released by the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD). In the given month, Turkey's steel pipe exports totaled 137,000 mt, down 7.8 percent year on year, while billet and bloom exports were down 76.1 percent to 9,000 mt. In November last year, Turkey's long steel exports increased by 6.1 percent to 740,000 mt, while its flat steel exports rose by 15.3 percent to 207,000 mt, both on year-on-year basis. 

In the first eleven months, Turkey's steel exports decreased by 6.1 percent year on year to 15.24 million mt. In the given period, Turkey's billet exports declined by 45.3 percent to 299,000 mt, long steel exports fell by 7.1 percent to 9.23 million mt, and flat steel exports rose by 3.2 percent to 2.29 million mt, all year-on-year basis. In the mentioned period, Turkey’s pipe export increased 0.6 percent year on year to 1.67 million mt.
