Turkey’s rebar exports down 5.9 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 554,915 metric tons, up 47.9 percent compared to December last year and decreasing by 5.9 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $293.6 million, increasing by 16.8 percent compared to January 2017 and up 50.7 percent month on month.

 In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 87,577 metric tons, down 12.10 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 57,562 metric tons and Hong Kong with 55,170 metric tons.
