Turkey’s November industrial production index down 8.6 percent over October

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜIK), in November Turkey's monthly industrial production index decreased by 2.2 percent year on year to 107.8, and was down 8.6 percent compared to October.

Among the various industrial sectors in Turkey, the production index in the mining sector in November this year increased by 0.6 percent, while the index for the manufacturing sector declined by 2.8 percent, both compared with the same month of the previous year. The index for the electricity, gas and water sector also increased by 1.1 percent year on year.

In November this year, the index for the manufacture of basic metals decreased by 2.4 percent year on year and was down 14.2 percent over October, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products fell by 7.1 percent year on year and was down 12.4 percent compared to the previous month.
