Turkey’s Mescier to increase solar power plant capacity in Usak

Turkey’s Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has announced that the examination and evaluation process within the scope of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) application made by local steel producer Mescier Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. for its solar power plant capacity increase project in Esme, Usak, has been completed and that the environmental impact assessment has begun.

Within the scope of the project with an investment cost of TRY 311 million ($6.82 million), a total of 25,424 solar panels with a capacity of 590 Wp each will be installed, increasing the total number of panels to 76,272 units. The capacity of the power plant will rise by 15 MWm to 45 MWm.
