Turkey's coking coal imports up 40 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's coking coal imports totaled 251,373 mt, rising by 40 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports was $23 million, up 11.2 percent year on year.


 
In the given month, Turkey's coking coal imports from Canada amounted to 161,297 mt, while coking coal imports from Australia totaled 80,749 mt.
