Turkey's coking coal imports down 4.8 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's coking coal imports increased by 9.3 percent month on month to 562,579 mt, rising by 6.77 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports was $59.4 million, up 20 percent compared to October and 14.17 percent year on year.


 
In the first 11 months, Turkey's coking coal imports decreased by 4.8 percent to 4.75 million mt, while the value of these imports decreased by 19.17 percent to $436.3 million, both year on year.
 
In the given period, Turkey's coking coal imports from Australia amounted to 2,206,279 mt, while coking coal imports from the US totaled 1,174,908 mt.
