Turkey’s Çelik Halat ve Tel Sanayii posts higher net profit and sales revenues for 2022

Kocaeli-based Turkish steel wire and rope producer Çelik Halat ve Tel Sanayii Inc. has announced its financial results for 2022.

The company registered a net profit of TRY 9.12 million ($482,705 million) in the full year, compared to a net profit of TRY 7.57 million recorded in 2021, while its sales revenues increased by 107 percent year on year to TRY 1.42 billion ($75.22 million).

In the given period, Çelik Halat ve Tel Sanayii’s total steel rope sales value amounted to TRY 601.78 million ($31.83 million), rising by 121.2 percent, its galvanized wire sales increased by 71.5 percent to TRY 75.4 million ($3.99 million), while its spring wire sales rose by 87.2 percent to TRY 257.2 million ($13.6 million), all on year-on-year basis.

According to the company’s statement, in 2022 Çelik Halat ve Tel Sanayii’s domestic sales rose by 120 percent, while its overseas sales increased by 93 percent, both on year-on-year basis. In the same period, the company’s domestic sales contributed 52 percent of its overall sales, from 49 percent recorded in 2021, while the share of its overseas sales fell to 48 percent, from 51 percent in the previous year.
