Turkey's basic metal turnover up 8.8 percent in May from April

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in May this year Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index increased by 15.7 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was down by 14.8 percent compared to May 2019.

In May this year, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey rose by 8.8 percent month on month and decreased by 12.5 percent year on year.

The industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing in May this year increased by 17.8 percent month on month and decreased by 1.9 percent year on year.
