According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in May this year Turkey's monthly total industrial turnover index increased by 2.8 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was up by 20.9 percent compared to May 2018.
In May this year, the total industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey rose by 0.8 percent month on month and by 8.7 percent year on year.
The total industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing in May this year increased by two percent month on month and increased by 14.7 percent year on year.
