Turkey's basic metal turnover down 2.7 percent in August from July

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in August this year Turkey's monthly total industrial turnover index decreased by 2.5 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was down by 0.1 percent compared to August 2018.

In August this year, the total industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey fell by 2.7 percent month on month and by 24.2 percent year on year.

The total industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing in August this year decreased by 2.2 percent month on month and by 3.4 percent year on year.
