Turkey's basic metal output up one percent in May from April

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in May this year Turkey's season and calendar adjusted monthly industrial production increased by 1.3 percent compared to the previous month, while the calendar adjusted index was down 1.3 percent compared to May 2018.

In May, the index for the production of basic metals in Turkey increased by one percent month on month and dropped by 10.6 percent year on year.

The index for the production of fabricated metal products in the given month increased by 2.5 percent month on month and fell by 0.8 percent year on year.
