Turkey raises import duty on rebar back to 30 percent

According to Turkey’s Official Gazette, import duty on rebar was raised to 30 percent from 10 percent as of January 1, 2020.

The reduction in the import duty on cold rolled coil for producers of galvanized and pre-painted sheet which had come into force at the beginning of the previous year has been removed and the import duty on the products in question currently stands at 10 percent.

Meanwhile, Turkey’s two percent import duty on pig iron has been removed.
