Trinecke Zelezarny reported CZK550 million profit

Czech steel maker Trinecke Zelezarny (TZ), has reported CZK 550 million ($21.4 million) profit in 2003 up by 42% when compared to 2002. TZ's preliminary earnings fell to CZK19.7 billion ($776 million), with a decrease by 7.4%. On the other hand, company's steel production decreased by 34'000 tons to 2.33 million tons, raw iron production by 12'000 tons to 1.87 million tons and rolled iron by 53'000 tons to 2.19 million tons.
