Tokyo Steel to hike prices in April

Japanese steel producer Tokyo Steel Manufacturing will increase domestic sales prices of deformed steel bar (debar), U-shaped steel sheet pile and hot dip galvanized coil by Yen 3'000 ($28) per ton as of April 1, 2005, company sources report. Company officials indicate that demand is sufficient to warrant the price hikes. On the other hand, the company does not plan any price adjustments for its other products.
