TISCO to focus on automotive and construction sectors

According to recent news in the market, Indian steel producer Tata Iron and Steel Corporation (TISCO) is planning to focus on automotive and construction sectors. With the purpose of strengthening its presence in global market, TISCO is planning to establish a mill with the capacity of 4.5 million tons to focus on the aforementioned sectors. The company officials are stated to have already visited China, Singapore and Ukraine to look for places to establish the mill. Moreover, the company plans to increase share of its long, galvanized and cold rolled products and to reduce share of hot rolled and semi products in its product mix in the current fiscal. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, TISCO also aims to expand its annual capacity to 15 million tons by 2010.
