This week, TimkinSteel Corp. will officially become its own entity.  The split from its parent company, Timpkin Co. was announced last September when the board of directors decided that steel operations should spin off as a separate business.

Local news outlets have reported that operations will remain in Canton, OH.  Company owner Tim Timkin said that while he recognizes TimkenSteel Corp. will be a relatively small steel company they are very targeted on growing their business.
