Thailand's motor vehicle output down 24.3% in February

In February this year, Thailand's total motor vehicle output (excluding motorcycles) amounted to 173,506 units, down 24.30 percent year on year, according to a report released by the Thailand Automotive Institute. On the other hand, Thailand's motor vehicle output in the first two months of the current year saw a year-on-year decrease of 27.74 percent to 336,158 units.

In February this year, Thailand's motor vehicle exports totaled 97,171 units, up 0.51 percent year on year, while in the first two months the country's motor vehicle exports decreased by 3.02 percent year on year to 178,196 units.

In February of the current year, the number of motor vehicles sold in Thailand's domestic market totaled 71,669 units, down 44.83 percent year on year, while in the first two months domestic motor vehicle sales decreased by 45.18 percent year on year to 140,188 units.
