Thailand extends safeguard measure on hot rolled flat steel imports

Thailand has decided to extend the safeguard duty regarding imports of alloyed hot rolled flat steel products for three years, as Turkey’s Ministry of Economy has been informed.

Accordingly, the safeguard duty will be 41.67 percent for the period between February 27, 2016 and February 26, 2017, 40.42 percent between February 27, 2017 and February 26, 2018, and 39.51 percent between February 27, 2018 and February 26, 2019.

The goods in question are currently classified under Harmonized System Code Numbers 7225.30, 7225.40 and 7226.91.
