Ternium Mexico announced this week that it has developed a cold steel for a new model of white goods. The company said it was a development challenge, finding the right texture from scratch and working with the client.

The company sought a pattern that differed from the competition, more of a "skin" finished to mask visual depth. This product should be able tobe  post-painted with high gloss colors maintaining the reliefs of the base steel,”  said José Torres, Coated Product Engineer at Ternium Mexico.

"We were working with different tests using domestic technology, different elongations and pressures, until the desired result," said Alejandro Treviño, Coated Process Technologist at Ternium.
