India-based steel giant Tata Steel has announced that it has started commissioning of its No. 10 coke oven battery and by-product plant at its Jamshedpur facility.
The plant with an annual capacity of 700,000 mt is a part of Tata Steel's 9.7 million mt per year expansion project in Jamshedpur. The plant will go into full production in December 2012.
In the past one year, Tata Steel has completed the commissioning of all major units within its expansion program.
