Tajikistan in talks to step up coal exports to Pakistan

The central Asian republic of Tajikistan exported 6,500 mt of coal to Pakistan in the May-June period of the current year, and the two sides are negotiating with each other to expand the coal trade between the countries - the Asia Plus Securities website has reported.

Meanwhile, as announced by the Tajik Ministry of Energy and Industry, Tajikistan recorded a coal output of 46,200 mt in the first six months of the current year, increasing by 9,250 mt as compared to the same period of last year.
