Swiss Concast will bill new furnace for Egyptian mill

The Swiss full-line plant builders for long product steelmakers Concast AG is set to build an electric arc furnace to the new Egyptian minimill Easrco. The company will supply Easrco a six strand continuous caster and various auxiliary facilities, including materials handling, water treatment and crane installations. Egyptian Easrco aims to become the largest billet supplier in the country with the new electric arc furnace at 1.1 millionton annual production capacity.
