Sweden’s SSAB to implement temporary layoffs at Finnish plants

Swedish specialty steel producer SSAB will implement temporary layoffs at its Hameenlinna and Kankaanpaa plants in Finland due to weak demand in the construction industry, according to a report by Reuters.

The number of employees which will be laid off beginning from September will depend on demand and local circumstances.

The Hameenlinna and Kankaanpaa plants produce coated steel products.
