Sweden’s Sandvik completes acquisition of Chinese equipment provider

Swedish high-technology engineering and steelmaking group Sandvik has announced that it has completed the acquisition of 80 percent equity interest in Chinese provider of crushing and screening equipment Shanghai Jianshe Luqiao Machinery Co. Ltd. (SJL) with the established trademark of SHANBAO.

SJL will be integrated in Sandvik Mining and Construction immediately and it will be a part of a new business area called Sandvik Construction as of January 1, 2012.

Sandvik announced the acquisition agreement for the first time in December 2010.
