Spain’s industrial turnover index down 4.5 percent in April

The Spanish industrial turnover index in April decreased 4.5 percent year on year, while the calendar adjusted turnover index went down by 4.1 percent year on year, according to the Spanish national statistics office (INE).

On the other hand, the new orders index in Spanish industry in the month of April decreased by 4.7 percent, with the calendar adjusted new orders index dropping by 4.4 percent, both year on year.

In the first four months of the current year, the Spanish industrial turnover index recorded a 2.2 percent fall, while the new orders index also declined by 2.2 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
