In May of this year, South Korea's new car registrations decreased by 9.5 percent month on month to 23,470 units, up 21.1 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA).
Meanwhile, in the January-May period of this year, South Korean new car registrations rose by 23.7 percent year on year to 116,798 units.
