In May this year, South Korea's new car registrations increased by 1.4 percent month on month to 23,272 units and were up 19.1 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA).
Meanwhile, in the January-May period of this year, South Korean new car registrations rose by 12.2 percent year on year to 100,886 units.
