South Africa withdraws AD duties on cold rolled products from Russia
On July 29, 2005, South African International Trade Administration Commission (ITAC) initiated a review of the antidumping duties on cold rolled steel products imported from Russia. The current antidumping duty effective for Russian steelmaker JSV Severstal is 27.4 percent, while all other Russian exporters are subject to a duty of 76.1 percent. The Commission preliminary determined that revocation of the duties would not likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury. Upon the comments received, the Commission made a final determination regarding the case. The Commission decided that the revocation of the duties is unlikely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to South African market. Accordingly, the Commission recommended that the Ministry of Trade and Industry withdraw antidumping duties on cold rolled steel products imported from Russia.
