G Steel Public Company Limited (G Steel), a Thailand-based producer and distributor of hot rolled coil, has placed an order with German plantmaker SMS Demag for the modernization of its medium slab casting-rolling plant in Rayong.
As a result of the modernization, the total capacity of the plant will be doubled and G Steel will be able to expand its current range of products and dimensions.
The new equipment units are scheduled to go into operation in late 2009.
