Local news reports Thursday indicated that the former owners of the now-shuttered RG Steel plant in Warren, Ohio, are seeking a refund of $3 million dollars in what their attorneys say is overpaid taxes.

Trumbull County, Ohio Commissioners approved this week the hiring of an attorney to fight the claim, even though the state’s highest court already sided with the claimants that they overpaid property taxes from 2001-2003.
