Shougang Qian’an Steel develops thin container plates

Hebei Province-based Shougang Qian'an Iron and Steel Company, a subsidiary of Shougang Group, has recently succeeded in rolling container plates of 1.8 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.3 mm and 2.5 mm thicknesses, with indices such as surface quality, chemical composition and mechanical properties all conforming to the required standards. The development of this product marks a breakthrough for the manufacturer in the production of thin container plates, enabling the company to supply plates in a range of thicknesses from 1.8 mm to 6.0 mm.
