Shougang posts sharp rise in CR sheet output for automotive sector

On December 21, Beijing-based Chinese steel producer Shougang Group announced that so far in the current year its total output of cold rolled sheet for the automotive sector has exceeded the threshold of 1.2 million mt, up 50 percent year on year and constituting a new annual production record for the company.
 
Meanwhile, Shougang stated that it has successfully carried out trial production of 1000 MPa ultra-high strength cold rolled steel sheet.
 
In 2011, Shougang produced over 800,000 mt of cold rolled steel sheet for the automotive sector.
