Severstal reduces production of long steel in September

In September this year, Russian steelmaker Severstal plans to produce around 90,000-92,000 mt of long steel products, including 35,000-40,000 mt of rebar, against 100,000-102,000 mt in August, amid falling demand from the construction sector in Russia.

Meanwhile, in the January-August period of the current year, Severstal shipped around 700,000 mt of long steel products, up eight percent compard to the same period of last year, including 670,000 mt to the domestic market
