Severstal raises dispatch of NTP in H1 2006

Russian steelmaker Severstal raised the dispatch of New Types of Products (NTP) almost three times year on year in the first half of 2006. For the given period, Severstal mastered 18 NTP, which is by 6 NTP more than during the same period of last year. 7 out of 18 NTP fell in the category of development of different steel types used in pipe production as well as products used in automobile and machine-building industries. Also NTP included products such as cold rolled sheets and other flat rolled products. As a representative of Severstal commented to SteelOrbis, the majority of NTP were directed to Russian domestic market, largely to pipe segment of it.
