Severstal launches trial deliveries for Nissan

Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that it has launched trial deliveries of rolled steel for the manufacturing of several Nissan car models in Russia.

Severstal has also signed a further contract to supply rolled steel to the Renault-Nissan Alliance from March to August this year. Rolled steel from Severstal's Cherepovets Steel Mill will meet 82 percent of the Renault-Nissan Alliance's demand in Russia over the period in question.

Severstal's international automobile clients operating in Russia include Hyundai-Kia, Ford, PSA, VW and others.
