Saudi Arabian mill approves capacity expansion of steel bar

According to market reports, board of Hadeed, the first fully integrated steel producer in Saudi Arabia, accepted a capacity expansion in steel bar production at its plant in Jubail. After the expansion is completed steel bar capacity will increase by 500'000 tons per annum. It is reported that, bids are currently under evaluation. Meanwhile, a conclusion on the expansion of hot strip mill is expected to come out by the end of this year. On the other hand, a tense competition between two international contractors for the revamp process of Hadeed's galvanizing line is reported as well.
