Indian state-owned steel producer Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced that its steel output increased by eight percent to 972,000 mt in November, compared to the same month of the previous year.
During the April-November period, SAIL produced 8.2 million mt of steel, registering 2.8 percent growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In the period in question, the productivity of SAIL's blast furnaces improved by three percent, while energy consumption improved by two percent, both compared to corresponding period of the previous year.
