South Korea-based steel producer YK Steel has decided to postpone its plans to relocate its Busan plant to Dangjin to 2027 due to difficulties securing a power grid, according to local media reports. The company’s relocation plan, which was made amid complaints about noise and dust from households in the surrounding area, was originally scheduled to be completed this year.

With the postponement, the company will continue operations at its Busan plant for another three years as well as the construction works for its new plant in Dangjin.
