Chicago, Illinois-based metals processor and distributor Ryerson Inc. announced Tuesday that it has opened a new service center in Houston, Texas. The new facility will be entirely devoted to the processing and distribution of long products to serve the oil and gas industry.

This is Ryerson's second service center opening announcement this month. On November 14, Ryerson opened a new Utah service center location that would primarily offer long products as well, and will serve as the hub for the products for Ryerson's branches in the Western United States.
